Unfortunately, “vote blue no matter who” is still the correct position. It sucks but… its still the correct position.

Only correct if youre also primary-ing centrists for progressives when possible and putting pressure on dems to take positions that aren't absolute dogwater imo

Blue just kicks the can down the road, all roads lead to fascism unless we get real fundamental change

if Vance gets the nom it won’t matter. He’s more unelectable than Hillary Clinton

for better or for worse, seeing that chud Clavicular say he’d vote for Newsom over Vance because “Newsom is a chad, Vance is subhuman” explains this perfectly 😭

It’s that the dudebros think he’s a fat effeminate pussy, the racists hate that he’s married to an Indian woman, normies think he’s a cocky, slimy, prick, and everyone on the left hates him obviously

He is a disaster of a candidate. I think Bernie sanders himself at age 90 would win 35 states at least

yeah, plus the young right hates Peter Thiel and the surveillance tech people which hurts Vance a lot too

Bernie is the highest polling American politician by national approval rating at least the last time I checked, iirc Bernie is like +4, AOC is like +2, Newsom is like -11, Trump is like -13, and Vance is like -20 something I don’t remember If voting machines / other parts of the electoral process aren’t compromised, a blue wave in 2026 is very likely

I mean I hope we don't get either but Vance lowk feels like an AI made the perfect guy for everyone to not take seriously and clean up donald trumps shit live on camera 90% of the time

If the Republican Party was smart they’d hit the eject button on Trump and Vance as soon as possible and nominate Tucker Carlson

I think they might want to play it safe next time to stop fracturing their base further since there has been a surprising amount of infighting

I think Carlson has the juice to bring it all back into cohesion. He’s got the charisma, he speaks in much more explicit populist terms, he’s very good at copying leftist language, and he’s been pretty consistently on brand for awhile

Hes got the populism down but I think corporate donor class will see that as a threatening trend considering how much trump introduced chaos to the markets with his policy. Oligarchs like elon would probably back him but he probably doesn't have the same international network Donald had bc of friends like Epstein

I really think he can upend it all. Like do an anti-corporate class fully grassroots populist right wing movement. A real one not the fake shit Trump was selling

upvote 1 downvote
🍳
Anonymous replying to -> dumbegg 1w

The only way dems beat that is if they field their own grassroots populist candidate. Which I fear they won’t do

But again. I don’t think that’ll happen. I just think it’s a significantly bigger possibility than people think. Idk if he’ll even run

Yea I hope we turn out to just be speculating about an alternate timeline. Hope we get a zohran-esque candidate for president from the dems by primarying out the leadership but thats really unlikely unfortunately

it would be suppressed but a large enough movement would still make it possible, someone would have to emerge soon tho otherwise I think it’s unlikely to build enough momentum by primary season

yea also w the stealing voter rolls stuff and the stationing ICE outside voting booths the voter suppression might just make things impossible for progressives rn

upvote 1 downvote
🍳
Anonymous replying to -> #1 1w

I’m not gonna say what law abiding citizens who follow the law should do to those ICE agents if they are there and force Trump to argue in court that they are there legally and see if the Supreme Court has the guts to finally shred the constitution so we can all get on with realizing what a facade this has been the whole time

Adding that I think it’d be funny to make republicans be the ones to finally argue against “it’s the election. Sacred part of democracy? If there are government thugs waiting at the election to shoot people who oppose them potentially, cause that’s what they’ve been doing, then isn’t it the GODFORSAKEN AMERICAN RIGHT TO DO WHY THE FOUNDERS DID?”. Would be a funny way for it all to die
