It’s not a likely outcome. They merely need to play it relatively neutral for a couple months and let any opposition shoot themselves in the foot with rage baiting. Gas prices alone don’t seem to be enough to get their base fired up to turn. Last drop that matched the data on the ground was Trump’s supporters have only lost 1% enthusiasm when compared to the 2024 election. You pair that with deportations and census data, and even gaining seats will be a mountain to climb for each candidate.
