Neoliberals are actually what most people would label “conservatives”. But, of course, Americans are too dense to actually understand nuance. Ronald Reagan, for example, was a neoliberal in his economic policies.

Today’s Democrats are not yesteryear’s Republicans. The things that the Republicans campaigned on from like 1960 until 2008 was neoliberalism. What the Democrats are today is more progressive universalism and anti-authoritarian pluralism.

Democrats (the PARTY, not the voters) today are NOT progressive, they are ACTIVELY ANTI-WORKER, PRO-WAR, PRO-INCARCERATION, PRO-BORDERS, ANTI-TRANS, and so on

They're pro choice but that's about it, and I'm sorry but being pro choice is not a progressive stance anymore, that's bare minimum from 10y ago, and they're STILL not doing anything about the fact that it is now illegal to have an abortion in some states

I believe that in order to win, the Democratic Party has to refocus its efforts towards advocating for working class Americans and running younger, more progressive candidates. Moderate Democrats aren’t doing the party any favors. The party requires more extremist elements to distinguish themselves further from the more mdoerate, rank and file Republicans.

You must be watching our politicians talk about what they believe in with your eyes closed and hands on your ears, I'm not even exaggerating, they're proud of these stances too. Kamala's whole campaign was "more war more police strong borders!!!" and it's also how she ran her entire career as DA

You and I both believe that, but everyone running the party right now has made it extremely and abundantly clear that they will NEVER run truly progressive candidates on purpose. Every one of them would have to die before that would happen.
