Right, it’s your interpretation to say whether or not it is racist, despite it clearly not being focused on depicting them as great apes. Again, you could make the argument it is wrong in general to depict people as animals, because it can be like calling someone stupid or subhuman, yet those two are also interpretations. I think they were being called idiots who act like animals.
