I don’t understand anti ai sentiment. Like, on most fronts, the issues that people are upset with are purely caused by capitalism and the method that capital owners are implementing AI models (environmental, privacy, etc); but what about local models?

The point is not that environmental destruction and the loss of privacy are unique to capitalism, the point is to see that these things are a part of the capitalist system we live in. The issue isn’t exclusive to capitalism, but within this specific context, it occurs within a larger capitalist framework, is a present development of a capitalist system, is perpetrated by capitalists, etc.
