Yeah it really shouldn’t be hard for people to understand that if you make choices like throwing snowballs at people, there’s going to be some sort of reaction. I mean that’s probably why they did it, though. A lot of these incidents we see are because people are trying to get such outcomes. They’re opportunistic bad actors that seek to cause chaos, not to help create change. And this isn’t something on just one side or the other. It’s everywhere as people feel so defeated that they resort to…
…violence as they perceive it to be there only means of expression. The easy solution is to have far greater restriction on protest, but because it is the right of the people to protest what they see/think/believe to be wrong, this isn’t an answer or option. Really what we need is for greater social cooperation where we the people from all walks of life, regardless of belief, to agree that when we see these bad actors, to take it upon ourselves to punish them. Punishment from government…
No, I agree with you on that, but the broader trend of these incidents is that people are carrying out these actions and then crying wolf when they get a reaction. By no means should he have flagged all of those people, I mean it’s truly embarrassing that such a reaction occurred, but to claim that no reaction should have come from it because “it’s just a snowball” is also wrong.
Well yes, this is in effect “crying wolf”. While him brandishing whatever sort of weapon he was holding was not a reasonable or proportionate response, the title to this post is, as far as I can tell, meant to absolve any guilt the individual who threw snow had in this situation. While certainly a smaller threat than that presented by the ICE agent, it nonetheless is one. My point is that neither in this case is guilt free, and we shouldn’t be glorifying what are threats from both sides.
The police are working for a fascist dictatorship… so they are objectively the enemies of the community and of democracy. Every last one is a traitor if they go along with any orders of this administration, because the 14th Amendment literally made it illegal for Trump be president again.
The 14th Amendment is also a law of this country. Its insurrection clause very clearly means Donald Trump is not legally the president of the United States States, because anyone who foments insurrection is banned for life from holding any office. It’s unconstitutional. Every single thing he’s done in office, every EO, every bill signed, every military action etc. is null and void, entirely unconstitutional. In 10 years or however long it takes for WW3 to be over, many many people involved in
