Me when 11th grade English told me the proper gender neutral term was “she/he” rather than just using “they”

This teacher was kinda rude too tbh. AND it was the 20-21 school year so that probably didn’t do any favors😭 But yea MLA format is a bit dumb sometimes. Most of what I learned from that class was the difference between effect and affect. And shit like that.
