Admittedly going full schizo on this one but anyone else get vibes that the entire Cornell thing is a psyop of some sort? Confidential names, overnight ms media explosion, immediate bickering discourse with ready to go talking points for both sides…

I think it’s media frenzy is def just a distraction, like every other case that’s hit the news recently. But unlike some of these people in the comments, I’m aware that’s not new, and this has been an issue we’ve ignored largely until now. Rape and sexual assault is this serious, and ubiquitous. Especially by “frat guys”. It’s bc it’s at Cornell, a college known for its left leaning ideology and prestige. Gang rape in these circles is common, and encouraged by the men in them. We’ve needed this

And as awful as this is, not exactly the first controversy of its kind to take place on a U.S. college campus. Not to say it necessarily doesn’t deserve the coverage, but why is it all of a sudden chosen as THE story right now?

What psyop would be here like … there’s probably some element in how it was told to us, but not like the Cornell students were government agents

But it’s being used to pin people against each other by the heads of media, which is not new, to try to move focus off of our federal government and their moves overseas, in the country, and in their personal lives. After “Me-Too” media knows that these stories get clicks, get viewership, especially bc they’ve ruined our focus on major federal issues by doing the 24 news cycle, everyday is Trump/politicians doing “boring” shit, we like a little change up. This is a real story, that is part of

A larger issue, that needed to be addressed. But bc of our polarizing news market, one side says “these boys are innocent” the other says “women are being attacked!!!”. That builds rage engagement. Women have constantly been subjected to the treatment and abuse that we’ve seen at Cornell, it’s just now it can be used as a tool to protect the powerful people in our society as they move in the shadows to continue to fuck with our money and our attention. Two things can be true at once, is all.
