so did i. i cant scroll through years of yikyak posts but they damn near crucified me for saying it in 2024. like i was never saying it was ok or that the lives lost weren’t a tragedy…i said it was a PREVENTABLE tragedy that was ALLOWED to happen to manufacture consent. but nooooo it was fake news😵‍💫😒

yeah ik! im a junior so i was in school when it happened and on yikyak. they said it was a lie. that and the fact that israeli military was firing indiscriminately and a lot of deaths reported were from fire from helicopters and on the ground troops. which was also recently proven true. theres footage. the refusal to accept or acknowledge that they’re bad people is crazy to me😵‍💫

correct. and who’s paying the bulk of the cost to provide israel w free education, healthcare, and maintaining the iron dome?🫣 theres a lot of commonalities to be seen in the history of the united states and its allies. but i think thats a convo for later bc they struggling w this one

Israel runs its own universal healthcare system and all of its citizens are required to have medical insurance. The U.S. does not provide Israel with free healthcare. The U.S. provides $3.8 billion in military defense and security per year, which is 0.0054% of the federal budget

if the israeli healthcare system is funded by the israeli government, and the usa is the largest benefactor of the the israeli government…you are correct. we give them nearly 4B for military support. but if israel has mandatory service…thats almost like saying our taxes dont pay for VA benefits, our government does. like yeah sure. and where do u think the money came from😒

and, frankly, to come to the defense of a country known for killing children and civilians in a land grab maneuver using an event they provably could have prevented and ur sticking point is who’s paying for healthcare? um. theres not even an elephant in the room. ~73,000 elephants actually. so yes were paying for it. yes israel is a genocidal settler colonial state, and yes you should be angry. any further questions?
