Political views aren’t bound by race insomuch as the values of the individual

the values one as an individual holds are deeply tied to their social and material conditions, particularly during their upbringing. Black people in the US have been historically forced to rely heavily on their communities for support, having been deliberately isolated from White society. I don’t think it’s especially hard to see how an (often understandable) paranoia and distrust could manifest as outright racism toward other outgroups.

Honestly feel like this phenomenon is the inverse of white people in disparate, racially uniform rural communities having higher rates of racial prejudice as well. If the only exposure to difference you receive is via rage-bait caricatures on social media/the news, feels like blatant racism is only a matter of time.
