the moment i realized that taking action as people isn’t enough was after the No Kings protest. millions of people showed up and nothing happened. i get that nothing is really SUPPOSED to happen, but dems didn’t act after they saw us.

can’t say i exactly expected them to, but it would’ve been nice. we just have to like wait this out and vote because that seems to be the only way. showing up to speak our minds on random days by protesting just won’t convince anyone to do anything

I said that I didn’t expect anything to happen in my comment, but it all just feels pointless. people get upset and frustrated when you don’t show up, but I just can’t find the motivation to after that. even calling my representatives doesn’t help like I get the encouragement, but it all doesn’t really seem to matter

yea just seems like the only real way to do that is by voting, ya know? but the desire to do that seems to be diminishing with our generation and younger every day
