For Palestine activists, if you wake up tomorrow and are president, what do you do? What happens to Israel, and to all the Jews and free Arabs who live there? What would a Palestinian state look like? Would there be a bill of rights?

an Algeria solution. Palestine is a singular and secular state, the Israelis who wish to stay renounce their Israeli citizenship in favor of a Palestinian one, and Palestinians are granted the right to return to their occupied lands

The Nabka will be reversed and Palestinians will return to the land

Jerusalem split in half with shared custody, Israel shrunk by like 70% with land returned to Palestine. Israel pays reparations for 10-20 years to help them get back on their feet. International observers to make sure both sides are adhering to a ceasefire and to document failures, especially of Israel given their history.

Gaza will no longer be under Israeli occupation and pre 1947 isreal borders will be reverted to as a unified Palestinian state with Jews in it

but like Algeria and the French, many of the settlers will vanish alongside their privileges. a similar thing can be observed with all of these white south African “refugees” who are immigrating to other settler colonies

And the Palestinian government can write their own bill of rights

Can I have a more detailed description of what the reversal of the Nakba looks like? Like in my goofy thought experiment, you are president tomorrow, or you have some influence. What do you do?

Long term, that goal makes sense, I guess I’m curious as to what the transition looks like? Israel would never willingly give up Jerusalem or 70% of their land, so what will happen or should happen? What do you anticipate a unified, 2 state solution Palestinian government looks like?

Israelis who stole land from Palestinians will be kicked off their “property” and will be given to Palestinians and Tel Aviv will be renamed Jaffa

So only Israelis who are proven to have stolen land from Palestinians would be removed? Forcibly or violently removed, I assume? Where would/should the Israelis removed from stolen property go, if they survive? Why would Tel Aviv be renamed? They developed separately and became a unified municipality

Because it’s justice for Palestine the colonial settlers in Israel are occupying Palestinian land

I get all that I’m asking, based on your comment, so only Israelis who stole land from Palestinians would be forcibly removed? If an Israeli owned land that wasn’t stolen from Palestinians, they wouldn’t be removed? For Israelis who are forcibly removed, what do you think should happen to them or where should they go? I also don’t understand the renaming of TelAviv would be so crucial? Don’t a lot of places in Israel have naming disputes?

Ah I see yeah fair question, you said president not magic genie. If I were president I’d do extremely harsh sanctions on Israel first and if they didn’t respond to that I’d move to military action to force them out of the land they’re occupying. Most of their military power comes from us anyway. And I didn’t really catch the second question

Oh I see it was just cut off. I’d hope for a unified group of transitional leaders comprising Hamas and pla leaders as well as more local leaders. Which could hopefully give way to new elections and a transition from Hamas militants to a Palestinian army

I appreciate the follow up I don’t know if I always agree that Israel would be defenseless if we didn’t provide them with military aid, but if they ever had to fight a 1st tier power like US, Russia, etc then 100% I think they lose and I bet they go nuclear fairly quick
