like yeah i’ve met some really smart business majors, but most of the really stupid people i’ve met at college (like the ones who make you question how they even graduated high school) are almost all business majors.

I don’t have any interests other than sitting on my ass and playing video games and hanging out with my friends, which notably aren’t things you can build a career off of, but I am pretty smart and I want to make enough money to survive so it was just between business or engineering, and I don’t wanna do calculus for the rest of my life so I went with business. Tbh id rather do this than major in something that won’t get me anywhere at all because I’m passionate about it

I know about 5 graduated art/music majors that have been out of college for a years working fast food right now and I just have no sympathy for them

And they’ll be in debt for the rest of their lives working jobs that make them miserable while not being able to provide for themselves or their future family because they decided to waste 160 grand in student loans for a useless degree that won’t put food on the table

What the fuck is your problem with the arts dude? like why are you obsessed with flexing the value of your degree and how much it’s gonna make you succeed? Like some people find the arts fulfilling and would rather live a modest life and continue their passion.

Obsessed???? I made two comments. There’s modest and then there’s minimum wage working 6 shifts a week or multiple jobs because you can’t afford to put food on the table without defaulting on your loan payments.

sorry, obsessed was an overreaction, but genuinely just let people live. I got a physics degree for my undergrad and i’m doing a masters in eng while my sister is a studio art major and is working at a print shop, and I would never say a single thing about the value of her degree

Marketing is something you need a business degree for dumbass 😂. see this is why you don’t waste your college education on an art or music degree. And I specifically said art not arts, so like most definitely not including liberal arts degrees in what I’m talking about
