long story short, for a while christians and muslims weren’t allowed (strictly by their religion) to charge interest on loans the jews could. they just couldnt charge other jews interest. its easy to see how this benefited them and set the whole culture up for generational success

Literally bro people will always bring up how the Jews were kicked out of so many countries and it’s like yeah that’s just what they did when they couldn’t pay off their wars or whatever. And then, almost like the broke friend who ends the friendship because they wouldn’t pay you back like $20, they of course go and tell everyone that you’re a greedy bastard who’s all about your money and nothing else. It’s crazy that people can’t separate their judgement of a government from the race/religion/ethnicity. The Jews are such a large diaspora, and their religion is as deserving of criticism as any other abrahamic religion/religion in general. It’s kinda wild. I will say tho, the defense of Israel being the “holy land” is kinda crazy bc while genetic test can determine if you’re Jewish, there’s a lot of people who are Jewish who aren’t exactly Semitic peoples genetically.
