i asked 3 of my coworkers and my boss and they all said germany for burgers. mixed answers for apple pie but it was all close enough; real answer is likely england and they all guessed UK or britain unfortunately you're just a dodo who wrongly assumes everybody else is equally uninformed

the phrase "as american as apple pie" is a century-old phrase that nobody uses anymore - definitely not in popular media. it was popularized in the early 1900s as men were returning home from war and associated things like pie with the home and family. those people did not think apple pie was invented here - most of them were still not far detached from their european ancestors who handed down foods like that from europe. this is a spiritual/patriotic phrase, not literal, and you know it

I've been to a Jewish wedding (and other Jewish events) with delicious Jewish food. That changes nothing about the fact that ***Israeli*** food is GARBAGE. Jewish foods have been being perfected for thousands of years. "Israeli foods" are just worse variations of Arab foods stolen in the last century that they claim as their own
