Wow, she did a really good job here of articulating the issue! We have done a really poor job of setting up boys and men with good positive examples of how to be in the world. For anyone that’s new to this discourse, I really like Richard Reeves’ work on the topic. There are many actionable ways we can take to make things better for the generation that are growing up now.
I’d agree that this is well put! Sorta seems parallel to the situation going on with rural Republican men specifically where the job market has moved overseas and so they’re not able to work traditionally masculine jobs or can’t find much work at all where they live. And then unfortunately those people are primed to believe immigrants and women are to blame for how their world and their role in it has changed
