Friendly reminder that healthcare doesn’t actually cost what you pay. It does not cost thousands of dollars to treat a broken bone or millions to treat cancer. Our insurance companies’ system quintuples healthcare costs for no reason. Free is affordableI feel like Americans don’t support nationalized healthcare because they think what they pay for treatment is actually what it costs, so of course it seems impossible to afford it on a national scale. But without insurance bloat, it’s cheaper to support nationalized healthcare. Not to mention what we could afford if we stopped foreign spending
