I agree the two party system is stupid. But unfortunately that is what we are living under right now. So not voting at all is definitely a privilege and isn’t helpful. A democracy works best when all voices are heard, voting is the biggest way we as regular people can influence that

all those people died for our freedom to vote, all those people were sprayed with water hoses, attacked by dogs, imprisoned and jailed, etc… and you’re just flippant about it like nah don’t feel like it. it’s fucking bonkers to me. if you know the history of that privilege, then you absolutely would vote every damn time.

That’s what every 90-year-old staunch republican is doing every single election, from local to presidential, while people like OOP are sitting at home crying about election results that they didn’t participate in. And to build off #2, the revolution didn’t happen overnight. No one ever gained rights the first time they asked. We need to take baby steps, we still can’t even get a woman of any party in office. What makes them think a jump to socialism is going to be well received?
