The Canadian wildfires right now are a direct cause of a dry spell because of the amount of heat in the atmosphere and the way physics demands hot air move. That heat is caused by industries burning fuels into the atmosphere which trap heat. That’s why they’re called green house gasses, because they, like greenhouses, trap heat. Ergo, the fires in Canada are caused by billionaire-owned industries

Which billionaires and industry should we blame? Tons of things contribute to heating the atmosphere, including my car, trains, my AC unit, my fiance farting under the sheets, etc. We don’t have a comprehensive emissions/heat tracking system to even know the percentage of the climate change caused by these industries or individuals, so there’s no real person to blame. “Billionaires” is a blanket term and includes people who may be in industries that don’t contribute green house gases.

the issue is not isolated to the emission of greenhouse gases, but it also includes the damage of extractive industries in totality. meaning, industries that fundamentally rely on extractive resources. anthropogenic climate change has a variety of contributing factors behind it, greenhouse gases being one of the largest of them. if you’re actually curious about the topic, the IPCC (intergovernmental panel on climate change) has a plethora of resources worth a read.

correction: not just “greenhouse gases”, more specifically the factor at play is anthropogenic contribution to greenhouse gas levels. aka human-caused increases in the amount of greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere.
