I disagree with the age of consent being 15 myself, I think that’s an incredibly wack policy to support, but I still think we should be more intentional about using the term pedophile. Someone isn’t a pedophile for making the argument that our age of consent should be similar to another countries. Is it slimy and weird asf? Absolutely. Is it equivalent with pedophilia? No

Yeahhh I mean not all generalizations are created equal, some are more true than others. The ‘republicans are all child fuckers’ one is dumb I completely agree. But it is true that conservatives are, generally speaking, less intelligent or less empathetic than their left counterparts, often some combination of the two. And I don’t mean that as an ad hominem, that’s just genuinely a defining feature of the party. So that generalization has some utility
