Is there any particular reason why you have to harken back over two centuries for examples instead of anything more recent?

Data centers, flock cameras, Covid restrictions, digital ID and internet censorship, etc.

All I’m saying is that we speak up when we don’t like things and it works. It’s a big reason we are more free than most countries. We are still far from being completely free, but things could be much, much worse.
