I suppose the similar statement here is the US is rule of law. While China is rule by law. I feel it’s also worth mentioning that terror attacks and murders still happen in China, even with their draconian surveillance state. Not to undermine your point. But to warn of the expansion of government surveillance in any country.

There’s wider points to be made from your post, which makes the post thought-provoking for myself. Character limits stop that, honestly. But there is something to be said comparing China’s per capita crime rates across one billion people and how they work for safer cities.
