What is y’all’s honest take on the Macklemore/ Ed Sheeran situation? I’ve been a huge fan of both for years, and I’m struggling with this.

I’m disgusted by the venues choice to silence him and I support the openers’ decisions to back out the tour. Ed needs to understand by choosing to stand for nothing, he backs Kraft, Israel and the Zionist lobbies that silence voices who speak for justice

I really hope he does know that. He just made a post on instagram saying how he never wanted to introduce politics into his career and that he wanted to remain a safe haven for everyone. I hear him 100%, but doing nothing is still a choice. He did seem respectful of Macklemore and would’ve been okay with him remaining on the tour. Ed just might not be the kind of guy who outwardly displays his views

He introduced it when he did a show for Ukraine. And even if he doesn’t speak out normally, it’s still telling when he stood by while his promoters messed with his lineup and branded a statement of peace as hateful
