Any time I mention “something needs to give, we need to do more,” people freak out and say “but that will cause a revolution and people will die!!!1!” Like??? Either you want change or you are too cowardly to accept what that change requires. It’s really not that confusing.

100%, it’s been so interesting having conversations abt that here. So many people throw the word around but few of us are prepared to do what it takes right now, which is a big issue. I can’t help but think that this is how it went in Germany, people being kept comfortable and within reach of plausible deniability while authoritarianism slowly creeps in.
