
It’s pointless when the ban doesn’t cover Roblox or discord :) kids will just use vpns and get around it. Now it’s just harder to monitor and forces them to more harmful websites that don’t uphold the ban. And if anything bad happens, they’re less likely to report out of fear of getting in trouble for getting around the ban
I don't know if you know but it's the implementation of the policy, not the policy itself. 100% government overreach and will end poorly for the citizens. The most prominent site weren't even banned (discord). The discussion shouldn't be about the content, but about the implementation. Requiring IDs for everyone. This will impact free speech and data privacy. No one will be safe to use any online platform because their ID will be leaked from these platforms from data breaches.
