Why don't we talk about the heroes that day instead? Jordan Salinas and AJ James would not have been able to stop this from occurring without Idaho's permissive carry laws and their own choice to step in and take action. I care a lot more about seeing these guys faces and knowing their names than the shitbag of the situation.

What good does it do to look at mass shooters political views anyways? Neither side is supporting these events. It seems to me like it's just an attempt to portray the other side as ridiculously immoral, the exact same thing that fox and daily wire are doing to trans people. That's why I called it divisive.

That’s fair, but I think OP is trying to make a point about the alarming prevalence of right wing violence. I also hate the argument that “we need good guys with guns to stop bad guys with guns” because increased access to guns, without a vetting process and proper training, leads to hundreds of mass shootings per year in our country. It is disgusting and unjustifiable.

No other country has this bad of a problem with gun violence, yet people whine and scream about protective measures like background checks, rigorous training requirements, etc. If conservatives truly cared about government overreach and privacy concerns, they wouldn’t be complicit with legislation like FISA or the Trump administration’s consolidation of power. I believe in arming myself, but safely and knowing that I am capable of being responsible for a firearm.

I get what you’re saying that it’s divisive, but i think it’s important to talk about. Hate crimes in this country have been rising in correlation with the rhetoric Trump uses. To pretend like that isn’t happening would be a disservice to the victims
