Yo… I feel like I’m being actively radicalized by this political climate because WDYM you don’t care children are going hungry, what is WRONG with you? How am I supposed to enjoy the holidays when people in my own town are going hungry 😭

buy an extra couple cans of beans or corn & go donate!!! usually there’s a store brand for .69¢! it might not be a lot but if you could spare a couple cans of beans every time you shop, it adds up.

I do donate ~$50 a month to charity and im glad to, plus like $4 every time I go to the grocery store. But I know that doesn’t totally bridge the gap

Yeah, I’m trying to move things around in my normal grocery bill to go from ~$75/wk to $50 and then get $25 of food to donate. It makes me feel better about my budget because I know I would spend that $25 on myself if I didn’t put effort into budgeting.

HELL YEAH!!!!!!! it doesn’t totally bridge the gap but it does a lot. you’re only one person. you’re feeding families, the elderly, & those with disabilities. & you’re doing more than most.
