I don’t think you have a grasp on the scope and depravity of early 20th century America. When people asked Hitler what it was that inspired him he said it out loud it, the United States. Like there were black writers in the 1930s calling the US fascist. The US was and is fascist.

Because for a lot of reasons, but the simplest one is that fascism is a legalized racial hierarchy and like that has been invariably part US common laws literally the entire time . You could also say that fascism is the continuation of economic inequality by undemocratic means. You might recognize this from; the world we’re living in. It’s also blackshirts with guns. That’s the police. Cops are Nazis.
