Who agrees
Honestly the world needs to start treating Americans abroad the same way they treat Israelis. We don’t get enough hate

Aw man. Should be I lucky enough to go abroad (and not return) I would hope I can properly convey my shame about being an American.

You don’t have to convey shame 😭 you just have to understand a lot of the world hates and more should

4k??? It does NOT cost that much. Most were family trips to see our relatives. The other one was a study abroad program. That’s it

And when I say “most”, I mean 2/3. 2 trips to Ireland to see family that we stayed with. Groceries were a lot more affordable, we’d usually just go to the grocery store every day or 2. Spent less on food than I do at home. And 1 short study abroad program that I got a scholarship for. I’ve never spent moe than $800 on a round trip flight, that’s the biggest expense. You got to hunt for the deals

And once you’re in Europe, it’s super cheap to travel between countries. Like Portugal? Sooooo cheap, everything

you're like playing devil's advocate against like statistical fact. a majority of poor people do not travel abroad. good for you

You literally just called me a dumb poor, what 😭 I was correcting you. Yes I agree, the rich travel more ofc. It can be extremely expensive. But it doesn’t mean you’re rich if you’ve left the county before. That was your initial claim or at least implication

i didn't call you dumb, you're just insecure about that. that downvoting making you feel better?

Sorry. Irresponsible, I mean. Yeah I downvoted you after you called me irresponsible. Just bc you don’t know how to travel super cheap doesn’t make anyone who’s able to rich or not poor. I don’t spend the little excess money I have from time to time on anything but trips. Cultural exchange and life changing experiences is a priority to me over material items like tech, clothes, makeup, jewelry, shoes, purses, car, fancy housing etc

Plus you’re deflecting from my entire point about the evil of the US empire to make an out of touch comment to feel better about yourself. Does deflecting from discussing the evil that is the US to talk about how you don’t travel make you feel better?
