
This is super interesting and also I think the access to concert tickets nowadays vs 30 years ago is the whole reason it’s an issue like you’re saying. I’m struggling with my words here but imo it would be less like “hoarding” access to tickets if they were still $5-15 and equally (more or less) accessible to all of us without barriers like scalpers with bots, internet speed and access, access to presale info, time to be doing all of those things, not to mention the insane prices nowadays.
This is an interesting mind-fuck cuz I see what you’re saying here, but I think the comparison you’re drawing kinda deflates your point. IMO concert tickets and access to healthcare/some other social service are two WILDLY different things. One is a privilege and the other is a right. To some MAGA, this comparison would be useless because concert tickets are inconsequential
Agree agree. Concert tickets and hoarding them definitely reflects the development of a larger wealth gap. I guess my point was that this comparison is not gonna be very convincing to anyone who is happy with what’s taking place rn. Which then again most of those fuckers are so brainwashed that nothing can make them see the light
