Does a large majority in the country speak Spanish? Spanish speaking country. It is not the only language spoken but it is one of the biggest. Sure, the current administration decided that English is the official language, but they can fuck off with that. We are a nation of immigrants and natives from all over the world from all time periods. All languages that represent all peoples deserve recognition.

And we’re just going to ignore Asian immigrants who built our infrastructure? The current Latino construction workers? And how about instead of calling them “illegals” we stop dehumanizing and call them “people trying to build a better life for themselves and their families”. Or we can do your thing and continue to white wash history and currently brainwash ourselves. Because that seems to be working for us so far.

Changing subject bc you blatantly lied. Majority of the first immigrants here were white puritans, with irish and dutch following. The fact that they are all grouped into white is crazy. Chinese and Latinos came over wayyyy later.

Whatever you want to say on history, of which non white immigration greatly supports for a long time, let's focus on the present and all non white immigrants have done and are doing in our country currently. Our country would be nothing without them. They have fought in our wars, built our streets, shared their food, been loving neighbors, created, innovated, and educated. Continue living in your delusion of a “white puritan” nation. We don't want you in our wonderful and colorful reality.

Well I’m actually American. People flee their country and try to make my country like the one they left. Practice whatever you want but don’t try to change the country that is supposed to accept you.
