Gulf state tourism for non-Muslims never made much sense to me
“I wish I could spend a fortune to vacation in a place that’s basically Las Vegas but an Islamic theocracy”
huh?
Basically Las Vegas but a 20 hour flight and without any of the fun parts.

In places like Dubai idk if the theocracy is super noticeable until you try to get alcohol

Now hold on a minute it’s not slavery, it’s just very close to slavery without meeting the formal definition of owning a person like they were property

It’s just indentured servitude that’s all

Before the British sold indentured servitude to people in exchange for passage to Virginia, which usually resulted in their deaths anyways, we just called that slavery.
Slavery hasn’t always been of the form American chattel slavery took. Indenture is slavery.
