My guy, church has *always* been political. Im a Christian and study history. There is not a time, in the history of RELIGION ITSELF, where organized religion wasn’t involved in politics.

The only difference between before this and now is that it was a stereotype that most Christian organizations were lock-step behind Conservative figures. Until the conservative figures started turning against Christian values.
