You're right, it's not shady at all. Biden acknowledged his pardons were because of trump's potential retaliation. Meanwhile trump was convicted of 34 felonies and attempted a coup but still faces no consequences.

Damn that’s crazy considering the DoJ targeted Trump for 3 years leading up to the 2024 election. In hindsight I guess Trump should’ve pardoned himself and his buddies in January of 2021

Maybe they targeted him because he did actually shady stuff. Stealing crates of documents, committing fraud in New York, and attempting to overturn the results of a democratic election. The only reason the federal cases didn’t go through to a verdict is because he won in ‘24 and had them shut down.
