No, but they certainly have socialist policies. Ones that are effective and the only reason we don’t implement them is bc of fear mongering of a socialist state

I agree, but to the American media consumer they’re portrayed as such. Expecting the avg person to be sympathetic enough towards “socialist” policies to look into it and make the distinction is giving too much credit to us

Well yeah you’re totally right, but that’s kinda what I mean. As soon as you say socialism people check out. I feel like Bernie even calling himself a “democratic socialist” hurt him a lot in 2016. So don’t even brand yourself as that when it’s kind of a stretch anyway. Fox News will call it what they want since it’s communism to not be a staunch Republican
