Hitler + the Nazis were not “unique” in being evil but their methods of mobilizing an entire nation, especially the educated, behind genocide are unique and historically noteworthy. Simplifying it to “people care b/c the victims were white” is ridiculous

Hitler is viewed as being uniquely evil in Western history because he brought to Europe what Europeans had been doing to other people across the world for centuries.

Like, the Nazis basically laid the blueprint to subvert a Western democracy and propagandize its citizens into carrying out mass murder. That’s obviously something that Western societies should be taking a close look at in the history books
