I’d argue adopting the same tribalistic mindset of MAGA, requiring absolute loyalty, while not actually doing anything to oppose the person you claim you’re opposing, is solely just a form of manipulating the voter base into unconditional support whilst the part adopts the same fascistic ideologies. that’s why you’re still bitching about someone voting for people more progressive than the DNC and its politicians, and refuse to even address the issue of genocide.
Hasan is fundamentally illiberal, he doesn’t like democracy and he wants a communist revolution. It’s not about loyalty when you refuse to oppose the most harmful president. I care about harm reduction, which is definitionally good. The democrats right now are better in practically every conceivable way and we should be lifting them up, and they should not associate with illiberal people
oh my fucking god. there is only one person on here who uses that phrase, and it’s one of the most illiberal people I’ve met in my life. joker, if that’s you on anon, go back to league or something. if it’s not, and you’re just some other blindly liberal dumbass, don’t try to sell this lie about harm reduction when you refuse to even recognize and discuss the genocide being funded by the people you support. absolute cowards.
no, I agree; those 40 are admirable as fuck and that’s the type of shit we need to see; but my issue is people like 5 and attempting to adopt this “absolute loyalty” bullshit that underlies maga. like they can’t claim to oppose fascism in the slightest while gleefully devolving into it.
Did I outright call you a fascist, or did I criticize the willing adoption of fascistic ideals within the Democratic Party and some of its supporters? mate, if you can’t even draw a line at genocide, you need to look in the mirror. like you’re more obsessed with your votes as we’re obliterating children and entire families. These institutions are not worth this, and at some point you all will have to recognize that. I hope that happens before it’s too late, for all our sakes.
I think the institutions are worth it. America is one of the most successful and powerful countries. Trump cut USAID which is predicted to cause millions of deaths. Millions of Americans and immigrants rely on American institutions: having a strong social safety net, academic research, international cooperation-all things under threat because of Trump. I care about the votes because it is something I can directly do to influence the system.
