no but it was a stunt bc mamdani didn’t just say Netanyahu should be arrested, he promised that HE would do it even though he, his whole team, and everyone with an internet connection knows he doesn’t have the authority to arrest foreign diplomats no matter how shitty they are. he made a promise he knew he couldn’t keep, campaigned on it, and then made a big show over how “his legal team couldn’t find a way” when he knew all along there was no way
