The news is a fucking joke, whatever gets more clicks and not what actually happened, they paid for information via the use of confidential informants.

Yeah it’s insane that it’s legal to post something so intentionally misconstrued. You need to pay informants to inform and you need to keep identities and funding secret (or “lie to donors”) to keep informants from getting found out and killed. Very standard stuff that the splc has been doing for a long time with no issue till now
