living in the U.S. It creates a cognitive dissonance when you called it genocide while they hold seats in the Israeli parliament. It’s similar to saying two guys who lost their family in a fire are the same when one fell a sleep with a candle still lit in the house while the other tied everyone up, poured gas on them, and lit the match. The outcome for both may be equal at the end in that both families were killed in a house fire, but the process is dramatically different.

As unfair that it was that Kamala was picked at the last minute instead of winning primaries it was either her or Trump. Her position on Gaza was much less than ideal but it would’ve been easier to work with her than with Trump. That was not the time to dig your heels in and demand perfection. Not to mention the BIL and IRA that had massive investments in transportation, infrastructure, clean energy, domestic manufacturing, healthcare reform, and helped curb runaway inflation. Or preventing medical debt from negatively affecting credit scores. Or banking reforms that dramatically curbed predatory fees and lending practices. Most of these being completely undermined because Trump got back into office.
