In a fucked up way, I’m glad Black Friday “deals” now are just like the deals you find every other 364 days of the year because it’s prevented me from participating for the last 2-3 years

This is kind of fundamentally impossible to achieve. You’re asking people to go an entire week without purchasing anything…what about groceries? Wdym no work? Some people don’t have the luxury to just…not work for an entire week 😭 i mean unless im misinterpreting something?

We will no longer feed the system that funds our demise. During the blackout, we will withdraw from labor, dollars and participations to show the power of collective action and remind those in power who truly keep society running! The people! So we need to stop shopping at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Home Depot, (BIG CORPORATE COMPANIES) and start shopping at farmers markets and small businesses with CASH ONLY! And please stop fucking eating fast food🙏u should also withdraw your cash your bank!

so then why is it a limited blackout and not an indefinite movement? I don’t disagree with you, but if you want to stop feeding the system, you gotta commit for longer than a week.

I am not entirely sure but this is what I think: there’s levels to this, first the group had to recruit a mass enough amount of people, and now this is the first pause, for a collective total quiet, strategic silence that just makes the world stop for long enough to create an impact, and honestly a week should do it. But there’s still chances to gather and plan stricter and longer pauses.

Groceries: there’s farmers markets but I personally get my food from Trader Joe’s and Aldi. Working: you probably shouldn’t be going into work on thanksgiving anyway so I think this is great startup for getting the public aware. Many of us want change and many of us know how to achieve it without bloodshed. It’s a process fr

This probably won’t be the first black out so this is your wake-up call to save up your money and prepare for the next one! If you’re about that life of course
