Half of you people in here are Dean Withers wannabe’s. And I don’t mean that as a compliment, you see your “supposed” political stand points as a game that you only choose to play as a “way to win.” Either for your pride or ego, it’s disgusting.

In what ways? To win? I like dean but yea im not the best fan of his debate style. But I just see him as a young kid who recently became passionate about debating trump supporters. Maybe its seen as a game because anyone who supports this admin is either not paying attention or is bat shit crazy.

Literally, that’s where all this I told you so energy comes from. They see these beliefs as a correct take and not a value system, so when someone unnecessarily suffers from policy they disagreed with they feel no obligation to help because “we told you what was in project 2025”

I’m getting off topic, but relating to the original topic I feel like because of Dean’s recent and past actions he’s not TRULY fighting/debating for his beliefs. Like he may believe in them or maybe not but either way I feel like other than the debating/making profit off of it, getting the chance to “prove his point” is more important to him than his beliefs, if that is understandable?

I’m talking about how Dean although albeit at first glance it seems he cares about the issues he debates, his recent actions (not directly picking apart the Charlie Kirk situation) but his statement of switching sides based on people’s response to Charlie Kirk’s death. Although it is not wild or wrong to say do not celebrate someone’s death, but to say and threaten to leave your morals the one thing you have built not only your name, community and personality around morally (1)

Correct arguments is not only performative but also, in my opinion sides with the fact that in situations like these are you truly willing to stand with what you believe in, if it’s actually what you believe in or are you going to be a coward and run with your legs tucked between your legs. That and his controversial actions in the past have never truly sat right with me.

I will say, I actually watched his “apology” livestream and he kind of clarified the “I’ll pick the right over the left” comment he made

I saw that too, but even then regardless of the fact if he “apologized” the point still stands it was a performative statement and it doesn’t matter how mad you get, at the end of the day regardless if Charlie Kirk was right or wrong in his words (which I’m not saying it was) he always stood by his words. If you can see what I’m saying.
