it pretty much is. people spend years and a shit ton of money naturalizing and trying to adhere legal statuses to become a US citizen. it doesn’t happen overnight. not to mention they fired like 100 immigration judges a month or so ago even when knowing they’re already backed up to be prosecuted as an illegal immigrant by ice, even as you are taking the steps needed to become legal, and then someone telling you to just “be legal” is exactly like telling someone to just do something they can’t

Put your political views aside. US citizens are being detained, attacked, and murdered by ICE. This is not just about immigrants who enter illegally nor is it about criminals. ICE is a threat to everyone.
