A lot of people. The evidence for a lot of them is [intentionally] not very clear cut, but many were believed to be killed by the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover, including MLK and JFK.

I’m gonna believe a conspiracy theory much more willingly than I’d believe the J. Edgar Hoover-era FBI and CIA tbh. Also, the USA has assassinated and overthrown a lot of political opponents abroad much more obviously

I mean there’s COINTELPRO. I think the JFK assassination is a bit more conspiracy-esque but possible (but I think it’s because he pressured Israel on nuclear inspections)
