Hot take: the Jewish people of Israel are not the Jewish People of the Holocaust. Two completely different groups. #JINO (Jew in Name Only)

Are they the same people who experienced the tragedy? No. But they are still people who were affected by it and still feel the loss to this day. You could say that about black people in America with slavery, just because it didn’t happen to the current generation does NOT change the massive lasting effects it has had on that group.

Do they face antisemitism because of it? yes. That’s it. It’s two very very different beliefs, practices, customs. The Jewish people of the Holocaust would have never done genocide. If there was survivors alive today they would condemn this. Jewish people of Isreal are ethnically Jewish that’s about it. They absolutely do not practice the word of God

Do you believe antisemitism is the only lasting effect of the Holocaust on people who are ethnically Jewish? Not the loss of entire communities and branches of the family and loosing all of their wealth and heirlooms?

There are survivors alive today and they are condemning it. There’s not many left tho they’re the same age as ww2 vets with some being younger bc they were kids

I don’t disagree that many Jewish people around the 1930’s were against Zionism and felt it was mainly an extremist thing, and that the genocide that’s happening isn’t something they would condone at all, but that is very different than saying the current Jewish people aren’t effected much by the Holocaust

The current genocide is happening bc that govt has had a blank check to do whatever for 60 years and they gravitated to the far-right and embraced ethnic supremacy

I definitely agree, it’s all tied together about how Israel formed as a country in the first place and the genocide is a part of how the government formed in the first place

I would bet 80% of isreal does not know anyone involved in the holocaust. Jews that made it out of germany didn’t stay in Europe. Their families didn’t stay in europe. They didn’t go to Isreal.

Okay that’s crazy. Also the Jewish people who were displaced weren’t just in Germany, it’s was from all the surrounding areas as well. And you are saying they didn’t stay in Europe and they didn’t go to Israel so where do you think all the survivors went????

I’m not sure if you were trying to say that Israel is in Europe or not, but I want to make sure to specify that Israel is in Asia and not Europe.
