Have a couple cousins sort of like this. They like the idea of the Union, like back in the day it genuinely did do most of the stuff a Union was supposed to do, but then the mob got involved (Chicago) and it became super corrupt/political and the management was more focused on that side of things than it was on actually helping the blue collar guys so… Neat in concept but, in practice over time, not as neat.

The only purpose of unions is to fight for the rights of workers. They are not inherently good

It’s because there’s no party that actually represents working class politics. I’m hopeful DSA can turn that around with some smart branding
