Also the 13/50 statistic cites arrest numbers, not conviction numbers. So all it really shows is that Black neighborhoods are the most policed, which we all already knew.
People who cite 13/50 never seem to bring up that men make up 50% of the population yet commit 90% of the crime. Almost like it would force them to realize that it’s condition that led to these numbers rather than some inherent drive to do crimes.

And why do you think they have to put so many police in those neighborhoods

Because they are highly populated areas of concentrated poverty, leading to an elevated crime rate. Just like how a lot of white rural America has elevated crime rates because of concentrated poverty. It’s just harder to police white rural crime because it’s spread out and the police departments out there are like 5 dudes for the whole county.

Like yeah, there’s crime in the ghetto. That tends to happen when a country creates a ghettoized population. And the government absolutely created the ghetto, the same way the government created the suburbs.
