That’s my Mayor! (He’s not my mayor) Long live Mamdanistan! (I’m not even in New York) Too bad he said he won’t be able to arrest Bibi :( I was really hoping Mamdani was gonna be able to have a little standoff with Trump while NYPD arrested Netanyahu

Nah fuck Mumdami. He’s a poser ass social democrat a.k.a capitalist cosplaying as a democratic socialist (and yes there is a difference). It’s just like AOC and Bernie. They use your emotions to distract you from the fact that they are fucking neoliberal elites.

It’s sad he can’t arrest him, but still refreshing to hear a politician speak about Yahu this honestly.

Literally 99% of democrat politicians actively hate the guy and talk about him like this. Only Mamdani made the silly unenforceable claim to begin with that he’d arrest him. I don’t get how his PR is so good it spins him not fulfilling a campaign promise into yet another Mamdani W

There are still Democrats that support Israel but pretty much every single one of them outwardly opposes Netanyahu

That’s what they’re hoping. So when the country is no longer free, you’ll neither notice, nor care.

They hate the “Netanyahu government” but won’t say shit about how Israel as a whole is a genocidal ethnostate It’s like saying “well the government of the Funny Moustache Man™️ is corrupt” in 1939

That’s cool and all and thank you for sharing your opinion, but it has nothing to do with Mamdani’s video and campaign promise about arresting Netanyahu. We’re not talking about Israel as a country rn

It is though bc your point was most Dem politicians hate him. They don’t. They need someone to scapegoat while still not abandoning Israel because they realize the tides are turning and desperately need to deflect from criticism

Saying “netanyahu bad” while voting to fund Israel’s military isn’t opposing Netanyahu

You just said yourself that they hate him and his government but refuse to denounce the state. Well no one claimed they were gonna arrest a state. Scapegoat or not, they all denounce HIM. Hating Netanyahu is not a special Mamdani trait. He overpromised and people are still giving him the W for not coming through just because he goes the extra mile elsewhere

Why hate him? What business is it of Mamdani’s anyway? Also, how is Israel the bad guy when they were the ones who were attacked… relentlessly… since their existence?

Also irrelevant to the discussion. Mamdani made himself a part of the business when he made it a campaign promise to arrest Bibi. Whether you support/oppose Bibi or even Israel, this is a conversation on Mamdani and his failure to keep a campaign promise he knew he wouldn’t be able to fulfill from day 1

During the campaign he said he would arrest Bibi “if the law allowed him”. That was always a stipulation bc Zohran is about doing things the correct way, and I respect that. There’s nothing he can really do if the federal government won’t help hip

Okay. Well Mamdani is trying to make himself out to be higher than he is. He has - since day one - made promises he can’t keep. This is what happens when you believe any politician who promises free shit. That’s 👏 not 👏 how 👏 America 👏 works 👏.

The law didn’t change. The law never allowed him to. He made the promise knowing that. If you want Bibi arrested and you want honest politicians, why defend this behavior?

The law would’ve allowed him to assuming he had a single federal DA on his side. None have assisted him at all. That’s again not really on him. I understand being upset but one single thing he wasn’t able to do that he said during the campaign trail he may not be able to do bc he had to explore all legal avenues isn’t the thing I’d go at him for. He has done more about Bibi than most, being that he tried to figure out how to arrest him and he made an announcement calling him out

These are his only two broken campaign promises (there’s a site to actually track that fun fact) and issue being, the first one there has no info on how he broke it so I’m not sure if that’s something that already happened or not. The bottom one there, he said he would give .5% funding, he gave .4% instead because the city had a low earning quarter right before he entered office

Dude… YOU just established it was a promise he made on the campaign. And now because a random website doesn’t list it means it doesn’t exist? It’s not “technically” a campaign promise even tho it’s a promise he made on the campaign??

Nah I’m saying it depends how you interpret things lmao, never said it wasn’t a promise not kept. But also he did say “if the law allows” while he was still running. With that stipulation it either is or isn’t. I’m just saying that the fact he has no support from any federal DA which is necessary for Mamdani to ever even send Bibi to The Hague is why, so be mad at the federal government not the guy who for months was searching relentlessly to find a way to imprison him

The federal government never claimed they were going to arrest him. Mamdani did, knowing it was never up to him. That’s a campaign lie

I’d argue it’s more so that he promised to look into legal avenues once in office bc he hadn’t previously, and promised to arrest him “if the law allowed”, which it didn’t. I’m just pointing out that he added that “if law allows” because he didn’t know yet and couldn’t say definitively if he could or could not

Everyone knew bro. He knew. Everyone said. Genuinely, like I asked before, if you want Netanyahu arrested and politicians honest, why run a free PR campaign for a blatant lie? Hold your man accountable

In my opinion, this video is clearly very different than the defensive responses a lot of democratic politicians have given about the situation. It’s different because he is going out of his way to actually care about the situation vs. the passivity and reluctance to acknowledge the full extent of the atrocities being committed that we have seen from a lot of democrats

But his “actual caring” of the situation amounts to nothing because he’s not actually doing anything. And on top of that not doing what he said he would. Crazy that Nick Fuentes of all people is making a good point in saying Bibi is Mamdani is doing is saying he’s unwelcome in the US when Israel is already unwelcome in the Middle East. It’s performative nothing

Idk i think this is a largely ideological conflict rn so I think videos like that make a huge impact personally. The point he made about how what is going on is an assault on our humanity is important, and calling on the federal gov to do something puts public pressure on them
