there’s a good deal of latinos that move to the US that are conservatives. that group often doesn’t realize that the US’s version of conservatism doesn’t like them all that much

Legal immigrants tend to be very against illegals immigration. All the talk about a better economy, giving rid of illegals, and Latino social conservatism enticed some in. But they should have known the republicans were just white supremacists. They never saw the legal Latinos as “the good ones”

and like, people who would be considered white or middle/upper class in latam are often lumped in together as “latino/immigrant/outsider” here so it’s not always recognized that they’re voting against their own interests

im sure, i dont think every republican has it out for latinos, but the rhetoric surrounding them within our country skews negative especially when concerning labor and immigration. my major point is that latino isn’t really a category *within* latam but they’re placed in that category as soon as they get here and may not think certain views apply to them (also im generally speaking of people who immigrated and have spent a chunk of their lives in latam)
