Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think many of us are against the actual detainment as we are of what follows. I’m actually very glad that that piece of shit was removed from leadership but I’m worried about who Trump will replace him with as well as the US stealing their oil which would keep them as poor as ever

Maduro was a piece of shit but “it’s okay to steal presidents” is a terrible international precedent to set. And this has the risk of going very badly if Venezuela does not transition peacefully and stably. Additionally, a whole bunch of republicans now see this as a Lebensraum/manifest destiny/Spazio vitale situation where now we just invade all our neighbors.

“No kings” is a reference to the entire premise this country was built on and the current anger is towards the way they did it unconstitutionally, not the fact that Venezuela is free from their dictator.
